Join Professor Emeritus Helmut Lueckenhausen for a fascinating insight into his practice and works 'Garuda Amongst the Reeds' (2018) and 'Barong Watching' (2018) on display in 'The Sweet Spot―Between Art & Design'. Lueckenhausen’s recently acquired works tests the nexus of sculpture and functional furniture and reflect the Gallery’s commitment to exhibit and collect the works of key practitioners working at the intersection of art and design. Helmut Lueckenhausen is a studio furniture designer, maker, academic and researcher with an esteemed career spanning five decades. He is currently the Pro Vice Chancellor of Design and Globalisation at Torrens University.
